Celtic unrefined sea salt is considered to be the finest salt in the world. But the most important thing is that it is most likely the most mineral rich salt. Usually white, refined table salt is, in comparison with Celtic sea salt, pure poison.
There you have removed all the important minerals that are naturally present in the sea salt and, in principle, only sodium remains. In Celtic salt, the sodium content is about 34%, while it may be far higher in industrial refined salt.
Celtic sea salt is light gray of all minerals and comes from unspoilt areas of France. Salted sun and windcress and harvested in Brittany. It is guaranteed free from pesticides, herbacides and harmful chemicals. Above all, it is very mineral rich and an excellent mineral supplement, free from heavy metals. It contains a variety of important trace minerals, such as magnesium, potassium, selenium, copper, zinc, iron and manganese. Celtic salt has a much higher trace mineral content (17.5%) than Himalayan salt (4.1%).
Many naturalists recommend Celtic salt. Its biggest use is of course when cooking, but you can also add a teaspoon of salt in a large glass of water and allow it to dissolve naturally for an hour or more. When completely dissolved you can add a little more grain until the solution is saturated. Then use a couple of tablespoons of this in plain water per day. This salt does not have the sharp salted as usual table salt and is good to drink. The solution lasts several days in a refrigerator when it is disinfected by the salt.
Celtic sea salt light gray color comes from the high content of minerals and it is gray instead of white since it is not bleached. The salt is also moist. Use it as it is in cooking or mill it in a salt mill. Keep the salt in a glass lid with a tight lid.
